Rare species that can be found in the park include bushbuck, reedbuck, lechwe, tsessebe, oribi and sitatunga. Our journey continues to the Popa Falls, one of the highlights of the western Caprivi. They are actually rapids rather than waterfalls and are particularly impressive in the dry season, when the water levels are low. We officially enter the Caprivi Strip, bordered by Angola, Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe and surrounded by four mighty rivers, namely The Chobe, Kwando, Linyanti and Zambezi. Our accommodation is set on the banks of the Kwando River, in Island Tents that are built on poles, overlooking the river, allowing you to do some fishing from your own deck. Each tent has a thatched roof and an open sky en suite bathroom. [BD]
